WHY BUY ME?
Le Corbusier’s work in the 1920s and 30s was key to the development of mid-century modern design. Originally produced in 1928, only 172 Le Corbusier LC4 Chaise Longues were made! However, in 1965, Le Corbusier granted Cassina exclusive rights to reproduce his chaise lounge. Of course, this didn’t stop many lower-end manufacturers from making their own LC4 Chaise Longues. Indeed, the one LC4 Chaise Longue is one of the 20th-century’s most iconic and copied designs. Nevertheless, Cassina construction can’t be beat. No doubt it poses less of a ‘false economy’ than more poorly constructed versions.
