WHY BUY ME?
Lebenstein was one of the most popular artists in Poland during the 20th century. Influenced by the work of Marc Rothco and Egon Schiele, he had a great deal of commercial success during the 1960’s and his work is now highly collected.
His work is on display in the Museum of Modern Art in New York and in private European and American collections including that of Albert Grokhost.
The cat like theme with horizontal spikes is typical of one oeuvre of his work.
